PCTFE Film

PCTFE film is a melt-extruded cast film made from PCTFE resin (polychlorotrifluoroethylene).It exhibits excellent gas barrier properties and superior electrical insulation.Additionally,it has good optical properties,mechanical strength,and chemical resistance.PCTFE film is widely used in fields such as packaging,chemical engineering,medical,electrical and electronic,vacuum technology,and optics.

The material has good weather resistance.Exposure to outdoor sunlight for one year has no impact on its performance.

Electrical Insulation

The dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor are relatively low over a wide range of frequencies.The material exhibits excellent electrical properties,such as high insulation resistance and high dielectric breakdown voltage,and is virtually unaffected by temperature or humidity.It is a high-frequency insulating material.

Chemical Inertness

The high fluorine content of PCTFE makes it resistant to almost all chemicals and oxidizing agents.It can remain unchanged even after prolonged immersion in acids,bases,or oxidizers.However,it can be corroded by molten alkali metals,elemental fluorine,and chlorine trifluoride at high temperatures.Additionally,it may swell when in contact with benzene and its homologues,as well as polyhalogenated compounds,under high-temperature conditions.

Among all plastics,PCTFE has the lowest water vapor permeability.It is impermeable to any gases and serves as an excellent barrier polymer.

Mechanical Properties

The mechanical properties at room temperature are superior to those of Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE).It has high compressive strength,low creep,and a high compression recovery rate,exhibiting good elastic recovery.However,the mechanical properties are significantly affected by temperature and can vary depending on the degree of crystallinity and molecular weight.

Temperature Resistance

The material can operate stably over a long-term temperature range of-196°C to 130°C,with a maximum temperature capability up to 212°C.
